Macksofy Trainings is an EC-Council Accredited Training Center (ATC) operating from Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai, and the training division of Macksofy Technologies Pvt Ltd — a CERT-In empanelled cybersecurity firm. We have trained thousands of cybersecurity professionals across India, the UAE, and Canada through classroom, online, and hybrid programmes.
This page sets out the credential standard our instructors are held to, how we deliver mentor-led training, and what each byline on our published guides means.
Led by
Yasir Arafat — Founder and Lead Instructor
Yasir founded Macksofy Trainings and built its EC-Council Accredited Training Center in Mumbai, along with delivery centres in Hyderabad, Dubai, and Toronto. He writes and reviews training curriculum, mentors students through certification exams, and advises corporate clients on security-team hiring and upskilling. He has published 26 technical and career guides on this site covering OSCP, OSEP, OSWE, CEH v13, SOC-200, Active Directory attack paths, and the Indian cybersecurity job market.

Our instructor credential standard
Every instructor holds the certification they teach. Our OSCP trainers are OSCP-certified, our CEH trainers are CEH-certified, and our SOC trainers are working analysts. We verify those credentials before an instructor takes a cohort — and if you are evaluating us, you can ask to see them.
Across the offensive and defensive tracks we run, our instructors collectively hold OSCP, OSWE, OSEP, CEH, CPENT, SOC-200 (OSDA), CHFI, and CompTIA credentials. Their working experience spans commercial penetration testing, red team operations, SOC analysis, threat hunting, and DFIR engagements for Indian BFSI, government, and enterprise clients — including cybersecurity training engagements for the Mumbai Police Cyber Cell.
We publish the credential standard our instructors are held to, and verify it on request, rather than publishing individual instructor profiles.
What “mentor-led” means at Macksofy
Our bootcamps are not recorded-video courses with a forum attached. Cohorts are capped so instructors can review lab work directly, and exam-prep candidates get structured mentoring through the practical exam attempt itself — the format we use for OSCP, OSEP, OSWE, and SOC-200 candidates in particular.
- Lab-hour weighted. Programmes are built around internal vulnerable-machine labs and proving-grounds-style scenario environments, not lecture time. Passive lecture-only delivery is what fails OSCP and CPENT candidates.
- Full-length proctored mocks. Candidates sit complete mock exams under real exam conditions before attempting the actual certification.
- Accredited courseware. Official EC-Council and CompTIA material with the lab access, voucher bundles, and post-training support that accredited delivery includes — plus independent mentor-led prep for the OffSec family, built on authentic syllabi rather than repackaged notes.
- Mode switching. In-person mentorship at the BKC centre, online delivery across India, UAE, and Canada, and the ability to switch modes mid-course if your schedule changes.
How our bylines work
We publish under three bylines, and we want readers to know exactly what each one means:
- Yasir Arafat — articles written or personally reviewed by our founder, typically career strategy, certification selection, and programme design.
- Macksofy Expert Trainers — collaborative technical pieces written, reviewed, and fact-checked by multiple certified instructors. Used where a guide draws on several trainers’ exam and engagement experience.
- Macksofy Editorial Team — course-catalogue explainers, syllabus breakdowns, and reference material maintained by our course designers and editorial staff.
