OSWE certification cost in India 2026, at a glance
So you’ve got OSCP (or you’re close) and you’re eyeing OSWE, the certification that says “I can read source code and find the bug the scanner missed.” Great choice. But before you commit, you’ll want to know exactly what it costs in rupees, and that’s surprisingly hard to find in one place.
Here’s the full picture: OffSec’s official pricing converted to INR, what each option includes, the costs people forget, and a realistic total budget depending on how you prepare.
| WEB-300 Course + Cert Bundle | US$1,749 (about ₹1,70,000): 90 days of lab access + 1 exam attempt |
| Learn One subscription | US$2,749 (about ₹2,67,000): 12 months of access + 2 exam attempts |
| Exam retake | US$249 (about ₹24,100) |
| Optional mentored training in India | ₹60,000–₹1,10,000 |
| Exam format | 47 hours 45 minutes hands-on, then 24 hours to submit the report |
| Realistic first-attempt budget | ₹1,70,000 (self-study) to about ₹2,80,000 (with mentoring) |
Bundle or Learn One: which OSWE option should you buy?
OffSec sells WEB-300 in two main ways, and the right one depends on how fast you study.
Course + Cert Bundle (about ₹1,70,000). You get the WEB-300 course, 90 days of lab access and one exam attempt. It’s the cheapest way in, but 90 days goes quickly for a course this heavy. If you’re working full time, be honest with yourself about whether you can finish the material in three months.
Learn One (about ₹2,67,000). A full year of access plus two exam attempts. It costs about ₹97,000 more, but think about what that buys you: nine extra months of labs and a second attempt that would otherwise cost ₹24,100. For most working professionals we mentor, Learn One ends up being the less stressful (and often the cheaper) route.
Our rule of thumb? If you already read code daily and can block out serious study time, the bundle works. Everyone else should look hard at Learn One.
The costs people forget about
Retakes. OSWE is tough, and plenty of strong candidates need a second go. Each retake is about ₹24,100 on the bundle route.
Exchange rates and bank charges. OffSec bills in dollars, so your card’s foreign-exchange markup applies. Budget a few thousand rupees extra.
Time off for the exam. The exam runs for almost 48 hours, followed by 24 hours for the report. Most people take leave for it. That’s a real cost, even if it’s not on the invoice.
Practice environments. Some candidates add extra practice labs or a home lab for code review. Not essential, but common.
Your realistic total OSWE budget
| How you prepare | What you pay | Approximate total |
|---|---|---|
| Self-study, bundle, pass first time | Bundle only | ₹1,70,000 |
| Self-study, bundle, one retake | Bundle + 1 retake | ₹1,94,100 |
| Learn One, self-study | Learn One (2 attempts included) | ₹2,67,000 |
| Bundle + mentored training in India | Bundle + ₹60,000–₹1,10,000 | ₹2,30,000–₹2,80,000 |
Notice how close the “bundle plus a retake” and “mentored” routes are? That’s why structured preparation often pays for itself: a guided first attempt usually beats a solo attempt plus a retake.
Are you ready for OSWE? Be honest before you spend
OSWE is a white-box certification: you’re given application source code and expected to find and chain vulnerabilities into a working exploit. That means you need to be comfortable reading languages like PHP, Java, C#, JavaScript (Node.js) and Python, and writing your own exploit scripts, usually in Python.
If that sounds daunting, it’s worth building those skills before you start the clock on a 90-day lab. We compared how OSWE builds on OSCP in our OSWE vs OSCP guide.
Is the OSWE cost worth it in India?
For application security careers, very much so. OSWE is one of the few certifications that proves you can do real source-code-driven exploitation, and that’s exactly what product companies, AppSec teams and global capability centres hire for. Senior AppSec and web exploitation roles in India commonly sit in the ₹16–35 LPA range, as we cover in our OSWE training guide.
It’s also one of the three certifications (with OSEP and OSED) that make up OffSec’s OSCE3, if you’re thinking long term. Curious how OSCP holders’ pay compares? See our OSCP salary in India guide.
Frequently asked questions
What is the OSWE certification cost in India?
OSWE costs about ₹1,70,000 (US$1,749) for OffSec’s WEB-300 Course + Cert Bundle, which includes 90 days of lab access and one exam attempt. The Learn One subscription costs about ₹2,67,000 (US$2,749) for 12 months and two exam attempts.
